Utah Women Artists

The AAUW Utah Women Artists Exhibition 2022
“Celebrating Utah Women Artists”
At the Utah Cultural Celebration Center,
1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City. Utah
This Art Exhibition is special. Ask any Utah woman artist. For years women artists experienced both exhibiting and sales opportunities lagging behind men. In 1982 AAUW of Utah created the first Utah Women Artists Exhibition juried exhibition providing viewing and sale opportunities In 1982 all art pieces were carried in to be juried and devoted AAUW members drove the pieces to several locations around the state to be exhibited for viewing for a few weeks in the communities. We have come a long way with digital entries and sales, but unfortunately, opportunities for Utah women artists in 2022 still lag behind.
The 2022 Utah Women Artists Exhibition “Celebrating Utah Women Artists” opened
September 6, 2022, with the best-attended reception yet. The winning artists were honored and received their monetary awards, as the juror, Josh Heuman, gave his observations on the winning selections. The reception offered tasty food and an opportunity to meet the artists, visit with the juror, and view the creative works of these very talented Utah Women Artists. Art collectors found this exhibition a great opportunity as a historic number of pieces had been purchased when the exhibition closed on October 18th, 2022. Thank you to the Utah Cultural Celebration Center which has been our home for this Exhibition since 2009.
AAUW of Utah celebrates the talented and prolific women artists in Utah. AAUW member donors, friends, and families that gift honorarium awards recognize the value of monetary support and provide viewing opportunities for art lovers and collectors. The UWAE Trust receives tax-deductible donations and obtains monetary grants from community organizations to fund the Utah Women Artists Exhibition, or as we like to call it our AAUW Art Show.
This next Art Show is planned for the fall of 2024.
